Wir freuen uns über den neuen deutsch- und englischsprachigen Internetauftritt von Henkel Smile. Hier findet man alle Informationen zum über die Geschäftstätigkeit hinaus gehenden gesellschaftlichen Engagement von Henkel. Und zwar noch moderner und leicht verständlich.

Warum engagiert sich Henkel in gemeinnützigen Projekten? Welche Projekte sind das und wie werden sie ausgewählt? Wo auf der Welt leistet Henkel durch Spendenaktionen einen Beitrag zum Gemeinwohl? Happy faces thanks to Persil

Children are our future – for this reason, Persil has set up the initiative “Projekt Futurino”, which has already made 400 education and development projects possible. As a result, more than 100,000 children have been supported by “Projekt Futurino”. Persil has brought the initiative into being in 2007 on the occasion of its 100th anniversary. Ever since – always over a specific time period – consumers are called to apply with their project ideas.

The focus of “Projekt Futurino” is on projects which enable children to learn more about nature and to acquire a better awareness of the environment while at the same time experiencing its fascination.

With the support of Persil, the Leibniz-Gymnasium in Dormagen realizes the project “Solar energy – our chance for the future”: Sixth grade students get to know zero-emission technologies of the future and can apply their knowledge in photovoltaics and H2-Tecnique. The application for this project was submitted by a physics teacher of this school in fall 2009.

The kindergarten St. Franziskus in Wesel is delighted in the explorer room with two laboratory places which were enabled by “Projekt Futurino”. Many generations of future kindergarten children have the possibility to explore and experiment there. The objective is to understand chemical coherences and to gain first basic knowledge– for an overall interest in natural sciences.

“Soy Rogelio Escobar, retirado, de 70 años, fuî invitado por medio de mi hijo Rodrigo Escobar, empleado de Henkel Guatemala para participar en una etapa del proyecto MIT de Henkel-Santa Clara La Laguna.
Debo reconocer una admiracion especial por las damas locales y las participantes de otros países, quienes trabajaron duro haciendo trabajos que jamas imaginaron, agregada la tremenda incomodidad de algunos “rest rooms”.
Me gusto mucho el orden, la disciplina como se manejo el evento, la buena disposición de todos por colaborar y la cordialidad que se mantuvo en todo momento.
Nacionales y extranjeros maravillosos ayudando a personas preciosas del area rural de nuestra querida Guatemala y que seguramente jamas volveran a ver.
Gracias Henkel por la invitacion a participar. Un abrazo cordial para todos y todas”.

back home again but still the impressions in my mind I gathered in the last week. I am proud to be part of such a great team who worked in Guatemala. The project is in the focus but without the people it wouldn’t work. Thanks especially again to Kirsten Sanchez Marin who initiated this wonderful project and coordinated the field work with all Henkel employees. Besides her challenging work at Henkel La Luz she is also very ambitious to support the people in Guatemala. Saludos to all team member and hope to meet you again!

Estimados compañeros quiero compartir con ustedes que haber participado en este proyecto fue muy gratificante, para mi fue realizar fisicamente lo que Henkel hace desde hace mucho tiempo sin embargo como nuestro eslogan lo dice y como una sola henkel hacemos la vida de las personas mas facil y mas bella.

We finished the stove installations and gave the families their new water filtration system.

They also gave me a lesson on washing cloths – Guatemala village style and of course we used Henkel.

Your reports and information about your volunteer work direct from the village in Guatemala were really exciting. My first doing in the morning and my last in the evening was, open the blog and reading the news. From the beginning every reader could mentally join the proejct. You have kept the suspense til the last minute. I would like to say Thank You very much for the hard work. Be sure you have changed a shmall part of the world to better. The faces and the smiles of the families will accompany you in the future. Thank you.
